Vinyasa / Deep Flow
A class that will appeal to those seeking a sometimes vigorous, strength-oriented sequence with a dynamic series of asanas firmly rooted in classical yoga. Though there is a strong emphasis on alignment, this class is about movement, connecting strong poses to your breath, and will often includes a challenging Vinyasa "flow" including core work, poses like vashistasana (side plank), bakasana (crane), and occasional inversions.
The Deep Flow class is all levels, but may be a little challenging for totally new yoga students or those who want to stick to the basics - but we welcome everyone: if a pose or sequences is too much for you, just chill out in child's pose (or whatever pose you like) until you feel comfortable rejoining!
Vinyasa / Heated (Ujjayi breath)
Yoga is taught in heat to support a focused mind, and relaxed body. Our heated classes are at 83 degrees, and taught through challenging sequences incorporating inversions, arm balances, and backbends that may be more accessible through the heat of the practice. This class is appropriate for intermediate students or athletic beginners. Please bring a sweat towel, arrive hydrated, and have some experience practicing yoga. This class is not recommended for those with health concerns, or for pregnant women.
Vinyasa /Align & Flow
This teacher-driven class offers a creative sequence taught at a fluid pace with a mindful focus on proper alignment.
Detailed alignment cues will be offered throughout the class so that students practice each asana safely and mindfully, yet maintain a consistent rhythm of movement in sync with the breath.
This class includes longer holds, openings, and balances that require both strength and sustained concentration through a progression of classical poses intended to take you out of your own thoughts and help you find the edges of your practice and your self.
