  • The Rocket Teacher Mentorship is designed for teachers who already teach Rocket yoga. In this Mentorship, teachers will explore teaching vignettes, implementing themes like Rocket Arms/ Rocket Legs, group discussion on questions that arise from students as well as observations from teaching Rocket, discussion on modifications for students, and a monthly video submission for feedback from a Mentor.

  • 1 hour a week lecture, plus 1 video feedback each month.

As an established and well-known yoga instructor in the Washington, DC area Ahmed 'The Yogi Man' has become a loved fixture in the DC yoga community. You might know him by his friendly demeanor that wants yoga to be accessible to all people, of all fitness levels, no matter where they live. Join Me and your fellow yoga enthusiasts at Nationals Park for Yoga in the Outfield presented by Kaiser Permanente! With the purchase of a special ticket, fans will be able to participate in a 45-minute postgame yoga session on the outfield grass and take home a Nationals-branded yoga mat.

Participants must complete the waiver and bring it to the game in order to be allowed on the field after the game for Yoga in the Outfield.

Floating in Session

Build on your already strong foundation. Learn how to float through Tristana. Tristana is a beautiful combination of Bandha, Pranayama and Drishti. As you focus on Tristana the practice starts to change. Learn specific preparatory techniques (check-ups) for yoga postures such as Crow, One-Legged Crow, Peacock, Side-Crow, One-Legged Sage, Flying Splits, Eight Angled Pose and Fire-fly. Be ready to laugh a lot!! 

Rocket 2

The Rocket 2 class is based on the Secondary Series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Focused on core, stability, mobility, Backbends and strength, this sequence opens the body from the ground up. Advanced classes are ideal for the regular practitioner or for those ready to commit to their practice. The pace is demanding and the instruction is less extensive than an All Levels class. You will practice inversions in this class, including handstands and forearm stands. Each class begins with sun salutations, progresses through a standing sequence building energy for the seated sequence, and closes with the Ashtanga finishing sequence. Familiarity with sun salutations and finishing postures is ideal, but not essential.

Acro Yoga Workshop w/Elyse & Ahmed

Join Ahmed and Elyse for a two-hour workshop focused on finding strength through the support of others. The workshop will begin with an exploration of partner yoga techniques that will build trust and communications. You'll learn the fundamentals of acro yoga with opportunities to practice basing, flying, and spotting. We will finish off the workshop with exploring Thai Massage techniques to relax the body and mind through massage techniques, acupressure points, and light yoga stretches. Grab a friend or significant other and join us.

Come with some fun ideas and let’s have a funky good time. You can bring your own partner or gain a new friend in the process.
